Scooter Carrier Linnepe SlidePort for Fiat Ducato from 07/2006, Overhang 1380 mm

Carrier system especially made for use with Fiat Ducato commercial van from 07/2006, mostly made of aluminum. Due to its sliding mechanism mounted on roller bearings the platform can be easily pushed to the left even if its loaded. Thus the carrier gives access to the rear doors to reach for gas bottles or the storage room. With the tension belt for handlebar and additional lashing straps fixed to the approved Linnepe fixing system the bike stands securely on the platform even without retaining bracket. The loading rail is stowed in a tray on the bottom of the carrier. SlidePort can be removed without tools. Providing an enormous maximum loading capacity of 170 kg SlidePort weights only approx. 41 kg, dimensions approx. W 200 x D 65 cm. The carrier can be mounted even if a towbar is installed already. Deliverey includes 4 tie-down rings, tension belt for handlebar, 2 lashing straps 2 m in length, 2 lashing straps for wheel fixing and 1 loading rail. The plugbox has to be ordered separately.

Motor scooters are becoming more and more popular for camping trips. If not restricted by the payload, there are transport options for scooters available for nearly every motor home. Generally a motor scooter can be transported within an ample rear compartment or on a carrier at the rear of the motorhome. Keeping possible limitations in mind, concerning the remaining payload of the motor home, all Linnepe carrier systems are made of saltwater-proof aluminium. However, along with a significant weight advantage they provide at least as much stability as conventional steel carriers do. All externally mounted carrier systems are not connected to the body but the chassis. The removable carriers require no registration in the car documents due to the EG certificate of types. An additional frame extension required for vehicles lacking a sustainable frame extension, is available for a surcharge of € 349,–.
