Many Euro 5 and almost all Euro 6 vehicles are equipped with an intelligent alternator. In these vehicles, the function of 12 V isolating relays and D+ simulators is only partially or no longer possible. To ensure charging of the RV battery/batteries, a charging booster or BCB must be installed.
After the engine is turned off, the relay MT RE 70 separates the starter battery from the RV battery. The relay is controlled via the D+ signal from the alternator or the D+ simulator. Diode protection for the alternator is already integrated.
