The 8 A IU0U-charger is ideal for motorhomes and boats with 12 V lead or gel batteries up to a capacity of 100 ah. It provides a charging rate of constantly 8 A, thus being suitable as power supply unit. Due to the input voltage range of 180 – 253 V AC (alternating current) the current fluctuation often occurring on campgrounds doesn’t affect the charging capacity. During the first phase the battery is charged with a constant rate of 8 A until the gassing voltage is reached. Afterwards the battery is charged at a constant voltage until full charge is reached. Safety is provided by protection against reverse polarity, short circuit and overheating.
