The LT series lithium iron phosphate batteries are powerful cold weather batteries that can be charged at temperatures as low as -20 °C.
How?
The system has an internal control that draws the current from the charger/solar controller/alternator itself and initially operates the internal heating at cell temperatures below 0 °C. The charging current is then transferred to the cells. Only at +1 °C is the charging current passed on to the cells. No additional components are needed for this. The entire process of heating and charging is seamless. Simply connect the battery to the normal charger and the internal heating and monitoring system does the rest. The PB100-LT is the perfect choice for use in motorhomes, off-grid solar and electric vehicles, and for all applications where charging at very low temperatures is required.
